Norden Society of East Rockford – 1872-73

Norden Society of East Rockford – Scandinavian Literary Society, has been in operation for about 3 years.

Organized for improvement intellectually of Swedish inhabitants of the city

about 50 members, have a hall above 303 and 305 East State St.

They possess a small but nice library. The books are hired out at 5 cents per week.

Dr. Anthony Castrogiovanni, dentist, Rockford.  Born July 27, 1933, Rockford son of Anthony A. and Lena (Schifo) Castrogiovanni.

Life-long resident of Rockford, chairman for indigent care for the Winnebago County Dental Society.

Member of executive council, Winnebago County Dental Society

Member of Illinois and American Dental Societies

Graduated from West High School, Drake University, U.S. Air Force 1959 – 1962

Active in Football and Track in High School, skiing, tennis and golf, fishing. big game hunting

Married Carol L. Schultz, Sept. 12th, 1959. They have two children: Laura Marie, 5, and Carl, 3.

Member of Cathedral Catholic Church and is a fourth degree Knight of Columbus.
