Midway Theater – 1919

Midway Theater - Ascher

“The Midway Theatre is one of a great chain of Motion Picture Palaces operated by Ascher Bros. Amusement Enterprises, Chicago, IL.  Its architectural design, both outside and within, would do credit by any city in the country. It seats 2,000 persons comfortably all on one floor, and its ventilation, decorations and entire equipment is unsurpassed. In addition to providing the finest productions that the Cinema Art affords, it is also the home of “The Beautiful in Music”, boasting one of the finest Motion Picture Orchestras in America.  It also has a magnificent large three manual Mollier Pipe Organ of wonderful tone quality, and the management makes a special effort to have the music always a commanding part of its entertainment.”
