General act was approved June 30 1834, Count Chlopicki, Daniel Haight, decided by Supreme Court, forfeited claim in not selecting lands in 3 adjacent sections, Germanicus Kent, grantings 36 sections of land, in Illinois or Michigan, leaders were sent into exile, opened sale 1839, Poles forfeited rights in not settling on land, Polish claim to a portion of Rockford 1836, Polish Rebellion of 1830-31, Rockford and Rockton, selected sections 44 and 46, sought refuge in U.S.
