Organized in 1910 (1909-1910 season)

The oldest and largest group of its kind in the nation

Basketball, the first sport organized, was dropped in the 1940’s

The charter members were the Ashburn Company, Andrews Wire and Iron Works, and Rockford Mitten and Hosiery Company

In 1913-14, the group split into Commercial and Factory leagues

In the 1913 Factory League: Andrews Wire, Kurtz Action, Free Sewing Machine Company, Hess and Hopkins, Barber-Colman, and Trahern Pump Company

In the 1913 Commercial League: Rockford Malleable, Clark Manufacturing Company, Rockford Watch Company, Central Union Telephone, Printers, and Burson Knitting Company
