WWII – Army Air Corps Pisano, Staff Sgt. John F,

husband of Mrs. Nancy Pisano, 2607 Highcrest Rd., a radar mechanic at a U.S. troop carrier base in France, has won 4 battle stars and the presidential unit citation his squadron has been awarded. Sergeant Pisano, whose troop carrier base is located on a airstrip in liberated France,  is a radar mechanic charged with maintaining this vital equipment aboard the huge C-47 planes flown by troop carrier pilots. He was awarded the battle stars for participation in assaults  on Hitler’s fortress Europe in Normandy, southern France and Germany itself. June, 1944 was inducted into the army in November, 1942 preliminary training at Boca Raton field, Florida was assigned to the troop carrier force in December 1943
