Germania Gesang Verein – Mar. 1884

“Our  Scandinavian citizens have organized a society similar to the Germania Gesang Verein, and have rented the large hall in Perry & Lake’s block, for the purpose of holding meetings.  The hall has been richly fitted up, and is an elegant apartment for the purpose intended.  The following officers have been elected: E. E. Steinbeck, President; C. Saderstrom, Vice President; J. Rosenquist, Secretary and Gust. Sandehn, Treasurer.

Germania Gesang Verein – Dec 1883

“Metropolitan Hall was filled almost up to the ceiling with a miscellaneous gathering last evening, and the masquerade given by the Germania Gesang Verein appeared to be a highly proper caper for Thanksgiving night.  The costumes were numerous, varied comic and elegant, and many evinced much taste in preparation.”
