Viel, Gene Alan

Venice, Fl——-

Gene Alan Viel passed away on March 9, 2015, in Venice, FL.

Born May 8, 1948, in Freeport, IL and lived in Rockford, IL and Bloomington, IN before retiring to Venice, FL.

Gene graduated Winnebago High School in 1966 and attended Rock Valley College.

He served his country in the U.S. Army from 1967 to 1970 in Vietnam and Germany.

He retired from Great West Casualty Co.

Celebration of Life at German Valley United Methodist Church in German Valley, IL.

Viesturs, Elmars “Harry”

Belvidere —–

Born in Latvia to Ilze Bumber and Jakob Viesturs, on August 9, 1930.

Elmars was drafted into the Unites State Army and stationed in Gelnhausen, Germany. He was honorably discharged as Sergeant in 1953.

Died July 9, 2014.

Sundberg Funeral Home.  A celebration of life will be scheduled and announced at a later date.
