Emil J. Palermo, 1921 – 2018 – obituary

Holmes, Arthur Ernest

Born June 12, 1927, in Chicago, Illinois, to James and Maud (Ozouf) Holmes.

1945 graduate Calumet High School.

Later attended Illinois Wesleyan University.

Served his country in WWII and Korea as a paratrooper for the U.S. 82nd Airborne Division.

Taught in Rockford and Freeport Public Schools.

Died Feb. 27, 2015 in his home

Survived by wife and children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren.

Honquest Funeral Home; Grace United Methodist Church.

Jones, Wayne Earl

Winnebago —–

died Feb. 22, 2015, in his home.

Born June 23, 1927, in Rockford, eldest son of Earl D. and Gertrude L. (Runyard) Jones.

Wayne enlisted in the U. S. Navy at 16 1/2 after the death of his favorite uncle during the war. He served during WWII, aboard the USS Bushnell and its submarine pack.

Married Doris Holmes, 1953, in Grace United Methodist Church.

He joined Rockford Fire Dept. in 1950 and was elf-employed in the TV and stereo repair business.

Genandt Funeral Home, burial in Winnebago Cemetery.

Businga, Richard Claude, MM

Born March 18, 1927, in Rockford, the son of Russell and Eunice (Lizer) Businga.

1945 Graduate Rockford West High School.

He served in the Army during WWII.

Worked at U S Postal Service.

Master Mason Lodge #166.

Died Sept. 2, 2014 in his home.

Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Grace United Methodist Church, Private Family burial at a later date.
