“The Camp Grant basketball squad leaves today on a two day tour, playing the first game tonight at Evanston against Fort Sheridan cagers in a benefit tilt for underprivileged children. The Evanston Optimists Club is sponsoring the game.
“This will be the third meeting between the two teams with Camp Grant winning the first two games, 43 to 33 at Evanston and 35 to 28 at Rockford. On Saturday night the Warriors play a return game with Illinois Wesleyan at Bloomington. Camp Grant won the first game, played at Rockford, 45 to 37.
“On Feb. 5 Camp Grant goes to Beloit to meet the Beloit Fairies in a return game, the soldiers winning the first game played there. On Saturday, Feb. 7, Camp Grant and the American Hardware team, defending champions and leaders in the Industrial League, clash at East high gym in a Red Cross benefit game.”
