Lee Stewart, wife Mabel S., vice-president D. J. Stewart & Co., resides 993 N. Main 1905-1921*  Mabel (widow of Lee) continued to own the home until 1955.

Robert W. Porter, wife Merle) v-pres John Green Press owned the home in 1956

Donal H Ferrell (wife Lee) Supt. of Security Building, owned the home in 1957

John W. Cowan, route mgr. for Winnebago newspapers, owned the home in 1958

“Clear Site for Apartments”  Rockford Morning Star Oct. 4, 1961:

Demolition permit issued for house at 993 No. Main. Developer Tom Jones plans a five-story structure with 20 deluxe-type apartment units renting for $300 to $350 monthly along the Rock River, and a two-story office building at the same address with frontage on N. Main St. to start building next Spring.  Meanwhile, Ballard Wrecking Co. will raze the two story residence at 993 N. Main St.
