Liquor – Traffic

“East Side Saloonist Sold to Blacklister” also accused of selling liquor on Sundays – pays two fines. Henry Melxner, and East State street saloon keeper was haled into court on two charges: one for selling liquor to a blacklister and one for selling Liquor on Sunday. The defendant was fined $50 and costs  in each case, which he paid. It is understood that the police are in possession of a number of complaints of a similar nature, but it is difficult to get the complainants to appear in court against the saloon keepers. The police are conducting a vigorous crusade against saloon keepers who are lax in this matter and further fines are expected.
