“Camp Fuller begins to wear quite a military air. Up to yesterday afternoon eleven Companies were represented there, as follows:

Company of Capt. Hicks, Galena, 36 men, 1st Lieut. Wm. Vinvent, 2d Hobert Pool.

Company from Lena

Company from Pecatonica.

Howard Phalanx, from Durand, arrived Monday; was recruited in 48 hours, 97 men. Capt. T.D. Taylor, 1st Lieut. S. Whitmeyer, 2nd Lieut. A.J. De _ _ s.

Mark Rittes, Carroll Co., 60 men in camp, 60 more to come today. Capt. Wm. Stouffer, 1st Lieut. R.M.A. Hawk, 2nd, Mark Lewis.

Fuller Guards – H.P. Sloan, Captain. 101 men,

Winnebago Union Guards – J. H. Douglas, Captain. 101 men.

Ellis Rangers 100 men.

Y.M.C.A. Co. 101 men.

Sharpshooters, 90 men.

The Quartermaster and Sutler’s buildings have been erected.  Mr. F. A. Horsman has been appointed Sutler for the 74th Regiment.

The Commandant of the Post, Jason Marsh, of this city, is energetic in organising the camp, and efficient to attending to the comforts and convenience of the soldiers.  he has no small work on his hands, but he will do it thoroughly and well.
