Kenosha Rockford Railroad

Published on Aug 28, 2013

UPY 711, an EMD GP15-1, and UP 531, an EMD GP38-2 run South on one of the remaining sections of the former Kenosha Rockford Railroad. This line was bought by the CNW and has since been known as the Kenosha Division, aka KD Line. Today the UP Local from Belvidere, IL. picked up a single tank car from Rock Valley Oil and Chemical. This is an “as needed” job, but seems to run at least once a week, sometimes once every two weeks dropping off or picking up one or two tank cars.

2. Street Running down Madison Street
