Germania Gesang Verein – Dec 1883

“Metropolitan Hall was filled almost up to the ceiling with a miscellaneous gathering last evening, and the masquerade given by the Germania Gesang Verein appeared to be a highly proper caper for Thanksgiving night.  The costumes were numerous, varied comic and elegant, and many evinced much taste in preparation.”
