Lenore I. (Larson) Klukken

Born February 15, 1919, in Rockford, to Henry and Inge (Nelson) Larson.

Married in 1947, in Rockford.

Graduated from Nurses Training at St. Anthony Hospital in 1940.

Served in the U.S. Army as a First Lieutenant Nurse in WWII; unit landed at Omaha Beach 3 months after D-Day.

Member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church.

Died January 7, 2015, at River Bluff Nursing Home.

Beadel, Thomas E.

Born in Scranton, Pa., April 18, 1922, to Peter Edward Beadel and Florence Joynt Beadel.

Highly decorated veteran of WWII who served in several key battles in the European Theater, including Omaha Beach and the Battle of the Bulge.

Died July 9, 2014 at OSF St. Anthony Hospital.

Burial in a private ceremony along the Florida coast.

A small private ceremony will be held at the Bickford House in Rockford.
