Residence of Julia Morley Brand, who died Monday, November 28, 1994 in her residence after a short illness

She was born November 3, 1903 in Saginaw, MI, daughter of Ralph Chase and Lucy Burrows Morley

She lived 67 years in Rockford, moving from Saginaw

She married Arthur Barnard Brand in Saginaw on October 8, 1927; he predeceased her in 1968

Julia Brand attended Second Congregational Church and was a member of the Rockford Women’s Club, the Monday Club, the Rockford Country Club, the Rockford Red Cross Motor Corps

She was a member and past president of the Rockford Junior League.  Rockford College and the Rockford Public Library were special interests

Graduate of Vassar College in 1926

Survivors include her sons, Michael Morley Brand of Portland, OR; Peter Barnard Brand, Roxbury, VT; and Stewart Burrows Brand, Sausalito, CA; twelve grandchildren and nine great grandchildren

She was predeceased by her daughter, Claire Brand Sampson in 1991

Memorial Service at Gordon Chapel at Second Congregational Church with Reverend Dean Dalrymple officiating. Burial in Saginaw, MI.  Arrangements by Burpee-Wood Funeral Home; Memorials to American Cancer Society
