Valore  City Liquor Hearing

“Frank Valore, at extreme left facing camera, bartender at the Sportsman’s Tap, 1008 South Main, is shown as he testified before the city liquor commission last night at a hearing on a complaint to revoke the tavern’s license. Facing the camera from left are Valore, John Scholler, Morning Star reporter, and members of the liquor commission, Alderman Gustaf Johnson, Mayor C. Henry Bloom, chairman, Alderman Eric Anderson and Alderman Clyde Weingartner.  In foreground with backs to camera are from left Corporation Council Charles Thomas, City Attorney LaVerne E. Anderson, and Luca Cannella, owner of the Sportsman’s tap.  At center, across from Valore are Russell Goldman, Cannella’s attorney and Ann Martegani, commission reporter. The hearing was continued until June 24.
