Reburial services for Pvt. Frank Sarna of 1244 Rose Ave., will be held Friday in Gasparini and Oliveri Funeral Home, in St. Anthony of Padua church, burial in Calvary cemetery with military rites by the Amvets. Born here 5/7/1912, entered army June 12, 1943. He was killed Sept 26,1944 in France, a week after reaching the continent.  Parents, widow, 2 brothers, 1 sister survive. Received training at Riverside, California in anti-aircraft division, died 9/26/1944

Zammuto, Peter Joseph

born 8/23/1929 in Rockford to Joseph and Susan (Collura) Zammuto. West High School grad. 1948, U of I grad with B.S. in business management m. Carm Licari in 1953, worked in family business Blackhawk Bottling Co., then Dept. of Defense for 24 years Air Force 1952 as Second Lieutenant in 1952, active duty 2 years, 18 years in Reserves 4 children: Susan (Joseph) Castrogiovanni, Joseph P. (Rebecca) Zammuto, Mary (Wayne) Nelson and Frank L. Zammuto. Fitzgerald Funeral Home, St. Anthony of Padua Church, St. Mary/St. James Cemetery

Romonouski, William John

William was born Sept. 10, 1930, in Spring Valley, IL; son of William (Wink) and Lorraine (Seaback) Romonouski.

William served our country in the Korean War from 1951-1953.  His service branch was TPN II OBN 51st Signal Battallion APO-358, rank was Cororal and left with honors of SVC Stars, United Nations Service Medal, and National Defense SVC Medal.

Worked at Barber-Colman and at Anderson Bros. Mfg. Co.

Member St. Anthony’s Catholic Church.

Died December 2, 2014, at the Villa at P.A. Peterson.

Fitzgerald Funeral Home; St. Anthony of Padua Church; Burial in Calvary Cemetery.
