Board President of Swedish-American. worked as a day-laborer in Pullman Car Works then he worked in a hardware and tin shop the he started a small business of his own electrical repair and locksmith business 50 years in the metal fastener business President of Rockford Screw Products started Rockford Screw Products in 1929. One time strong man in a vaudville show 1911 worked for National Lock for 19 years.

Chairman of the Board of Rock River Savings and Loan President of WREX-TV.  President of Illinois Hospital Service member of the board of directors of American National Bank and Trust. Was a member of the original board of Greater Rockford Airport Authority and was for a time Chm. Of the Board.

“The Greater Rockford airport authority commission was formally organized at a meeting in the mayor’s office yesterday afternoon. Pictured above, as lots were drawn to determine terms of office are, left to right, Corporation counsel Charles S. Thomas, holding hat with Mayor C. Henry Bloom, and authority members, Harry Shaw, two years, Glen Alberstett, one year; Attorney Foster A. Smith, three years; Swan Hillman, four years, and K. L. Finkenstaedt, five years.  Finkenstaedt was named chairman of the authority, and Alberstett was elected secretary.”
