According to Ancestry Database, there are two Galen R. Fry s with the identical birth and death date in different states.  Both were born 13 April 1923; one listing lists place as Palo Illinois and the other as Polo, Ogle County, Illinois. Both died November 2, 1994, probably in Portland, Clackamas County, Oregon.

World War II – Navy – Gerald Tresemer

Gerald L. Tresemer, Coxswain, 22

Son of Mr. & Mrs. Ernest Tresemer, 1037 Elm Street was killed in action with the US fleet in Hawaiian waters.  The Navy Department informed his parents yesterday.  Young Tresemer was the first Rockford man killed since hostilities between the United States and Japan began.
