Veterans Who Have Passed — James L. Wrede

James L. Wrede 1946—2020
James Wrede, 74 passed away peacefully on December 3, 2020 in Port Isabel, Texas. His loving wife Roxanne at his side. Cremation rites have been accorded, a private family service will be held at a later date. James was born and graduated from high school in Medford, Wisconsin. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He began work at the Chrysler Plant in Belvidere, Illinois and worked there until he retired after 30 years. He spent his retirement years enjoying his gardens, golfing, fishing, playing cards and filling his days with family and friends.
James is predeceased by his parents (Alex and Mary), his brother and sister (Dick and LaVonne) and his first wife (Joan).
James is survived by his wife Roxanne. His children, Kimberly(Gordon) Schaefer, Nicole (Martin) Adams, Tonya (Jamie) Peter, Tracey (Steve) Swanson, and Tim(Erin) Harris. James was blessed with 8 grandchildren: Haley, Britton, Ezra, Dalton, Lyndzey, Cole, Dane and Claire. As well as one great granddaughter, Layla. His siblings, Claire(Lois) Wrede, Marge(Art) Wild, Rosemary(Gerald) Viegut and many nieces and nephews. He will be sorely missed by his family and friends at Lakeland RV Campground in Milton, Wisconsin and the Port Isabel Park Center in Port Isabel, Texas.
