Loren W. Johnson 1935—2020
Loren W. Johnson, 85, of Rockford, passed away on Sunday, December 6. 2020. Born May 29, 1935, in Rockford, son of Fred S. and Mildred (Swanson) Johnson. Graduate of Rockford East High School, Class of 1953 and Lake Forest College in 1957 where he was a member of Delta Chi Fraternity. Veteran of the U.S. Army. Loren married Audrey G. Johnson on December 27,1957. She predeceased him on September 26, 2010. Loren was employed as a realtor by Whitehead Realtors for many years. He was a member of Rockford Board of Realtors, Illinois Association of Realtors and National Association of Realtors. Former President of the Multiple Sclerosis Society and former member of the Children’s Home and Aid Society, Board of Meat and Eat (now Lifescape Community Services). Loren was a longtime member of Alpine Kiwanis Club and YMCA Retired Men’s Club and a lifetime member of Bethesda Covenant Church, servicing on its Board of Trustees. Loren and Audrey spent many summers in the Northwoods of Wisconsin. They also traveled to many European countries; especially enjoying visiting relatives in Sweden and traveling most of this country. Survived by sister-in-law, Phyllis C. Johnson of Elmhurst, IL; cousin, Robert C. Buie of Pryor Lake, MN; and numerous friends, including Jeff (Jane) Klinger. Also predeceased by his parents.
Graveside Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, December 11, 2020 at Scandinavian Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alpine Kiwanis Club, PO BOX 5132, Rockford, IL 61125. Please visit for Covid 19 limitations or to express a condolences.

Cazel, Richard J. “Dick”

Born Nov. 18, 1931, in Freeport, the son of Clarence and Iola (Bouray) Cazel.

Graduated from St. Thomas High School, 1949.

He was a United States Army Veteran serving in the Korean War,

Member of  the St. Bernadette Catholic Church.

Active with the Korean War Veteran Association, American Legion, YMCA Retired Men’s Club and the Camcar Retiree Club.

Died Nov. 9, 2014 at UW Madison Hospital.
