mission statement, “building communities that enrich lives in response to God’s Love” 25 years old, Christian-based development corporation in past 15 years, has raised and spent $22 million in Mid Town District of Rockford. Brad Roos, executive director of Zion Development Corp. Zion Lutheran Church was determined to help their neighbors, est. Corp. Established in 1982. bought house in neighborhood in 1987,  tore down drug house next door, bought a brick building. next to that. In 1994, raised $300,000 to build 12 townhouses. Took on $6 million renovation of 50 year old Quality Inn Motel on Longwood St.
