Lundgren, John W.F.

69, former Rockford resident, who died Monday at Alhambra, California. Services at Zion Lutheran Church, Rev. E.G. Knock, officiating. Burial will be in Scandinavian Cemetery formerly lived at 1644 Oakes Ave., and in 1939 went to California with his wife. Born November 1, 1872 in Bornholm, Denmark, son of Mrs. and Mrs. Frederick Lundgren. He came to the United States when he was 12 years old. He resided first in Brisbon, Pa. He married Miss Anne Hansen on Dec 24, 1895 at Patton, Pa. Leaves Three daughters and a son (listed in obituary)

Lundell, Mrs C.G.

wife of former pastor of Swedish Lutheran Church, Pecatonica died at Augustana Hospital, Chicago. Died last week. Gone there from present home in Algona, Iowa to attend funeral of brother’s wife. Mrs. Lundell had not been well for some time and went to see a specialist. Remains were brought to her old home Saturday and funeral services were held at the church Sunday. Rev. Forsberg of Algona and Rev. Sjostrom of Rockford conducted services; Rev. Forsberg in Swedish and Rev. Sjostrom in English. Rev. Lundell was pastor of Zion Lutheran Church for many years. Her husband and 5 daughters survive. One daughter and a son died previously.
